Venkman stares at Ray like he's lost his damned mind. He was trying to figure out some sort of plausible way to worm himself out of this, but he's temporarily speechless.
The worker just looks confused.]
I, uh, I saw him break one of the machines, sir.
[Venkman cuts in, then, having finally recovered enough to bluff:]
What he meant to say is that I was possessed by a ghost that was wrecking this joint, but we dealt with it, sent it packing. So really, you guys should be thanking us. We'll send this place the bill in the mail later.
[And he tugs Ray's arm, nodding aggressively in the direction of the exit- they gotta leave, now.]
