[Well, that sure was a time.

When everyone wakes up this morning, one of the first things they're realize that the Mcdonald's suddenly looks abandoned. And not just from the fire, but it looks like it hasn't been open in years. The whole building looks like it could fall apart at any moment, and the entire Playplace is covered in rust.

Even the Ronald McDonald statue! D-:

However, if you ask any of the residents about the McDonald's, they still act as though is still open, and you'll most likely get some weird looks when you ask any questions about it that doesn't involve the weirdness of McPizza.

And, for those who have been here before, starting this week, you'll get a strange overwhelming sense that this place is familiar to you. You can't place how or why, but the sense of deja vu is persistent, and will stick with you for a long while. It's undeniable--you've definitely been here before, but you can't recall....

But hey, that's probably fine, right?]

[The tension escapes his shoulders just a little, but he's still fighting all his urges to expect the worst and run off. He's actively locking his legs in place so they stay firmly put.]

[ She looks down the hall. ]

No, not everyone... only wrote a few, whether it's- keeping a promise, or making one. [He rubs the back of his neck.] ...your case is, kinda both, I guess- [He gives a short embarrassed laugh to himself trying to get the rest of the stress out.] ...can't believe I'd just- say I'd help back then, without... backing it up.

...you just shouldn't have to go it alone, when... who we're up against ain't a one-man op, there's gotta be cooperation on our end, too.

...I don't doubt your exploits, Mr. Satan. I don't doubt you've seen your share of...heroic escapades. But, this sort of action...it's the most heroic of all, I think.

[ She's looking over the letter again. ]

Sometimes, the greatest weapon is teamwork. A lot of people forget that...myself included. If you're offering your assistance? I'll gladly take it.

[He can't help but feel a severe twinge of guilt hearing her bring up his "heroic escapades". ...that's... that's a big one. That's one lie he shouldn't have jumped to immediately telling everybody he could the second he got here. That's one he can't... just admit to. Even now. ...especially now- she's putting her trust in him, he made a promise he'd be someone she can count on- what, is he supposed to just say "Actually, I did nothing to save the world and took credit after the fact"? What good would that do? Just take away something for her to believe in, this soon?]

[He just- tries to put that out of mind and gives her a nod of agreement.]

...anything giving you any trouble lately? Nosy guards holding you up, roadblocks stopping a way out... if you've got a plan to put into action, I've got your back.

[ She gives him a half-smile, slowly. ]

Rude policemen included? [ It's a joke. Mostly. ] ...I hope you know, that offer's the kind of thing that goes both ways.

Sure thing- [His tone doesn't have a shred of sarcasm to it, so if she meant it as a joke- even a half-joke, he didn't catch onto it at all.] ...I keep the fuzz busy- you can go in where they don't want, come out, and as far as they know, it'd be like you weren't even there.

...and I-I know you'll be looking out for me, too. Y'said so when we first met, you look out for everyone, that's the kinda person you are.

[ Maybe then she could get Pyro's body... That's something she'll have to think about. ]

...Thank you. I'll at least try. I don't want... Well, if I can help it, I'd like to prevent anything like...what happened yesterday.
