Week 2 [Day 5 - Day 7]

[Well, that sure was a time.
When everyone wakes up this morning, one of the first things they're realize that the Mcdonald's suddenly looks abandoned. And not just from the fire, but it looks like it hasn't been open in years. The whole building looks like it could fall apart at any moment, and the entire Playplace is covered in rust.
Even the Ronald McDonald statue! D-:
However, if you ask any of the residents about the McDonald's, they still act as though is still open, and you'll most likely get some weird looks when you ask any questions about it that doesn't involve the weirdness of McPizza.
And, for those who have been here before, starting this week, you'll get a strange overwhelming sense that this place is familiar to you. You can't place how or why, but the sense of deja vu is persistent, and will stick with you for a long while. It's undeniable--you've definitely been here before, but you can't recall....
But hey, that's probably fine, right?]
[ Day 5 (Sunday) || Night 5 (Monday) || Day 6 (Tuesday) || Night 6 (Wednesday) || Day 7 (Thursday) ]
(OOC: On Sunday we will be tagging two volunteers with a special thing, which will make sense on Monday! If you want to opt in or out, please contact us, either in the toplevel itself or via messaging us!
Again, if you plan on investigating anywhere in the town or want to talk to an NPC, please put it in your toplevel! And also don't forget to fill your AC!!!)
Day 5 (Sunday)
RADIO
...and in today's news, police are still scratching their heads over the series of murders that have taken place over the past few weeks. Last night, another masked body was found in the McDonald's parking lot, accompanied with plenty of carnage and destruction of property. No arrests have been made so far. Some people speculate this lack of action is due to the recent dismissal of Chief of Police Michael Foley, but the police assure the public that they are making progress with the investigation....
[The radio warbles on.]

Eventually, she can be found wandering aimlessly around the clothing store. For once, she's not hellbent on tearing things apart, instead looking for something new to
stealget, mulling her choices over some different patterns of leggings (a neon pink leopard print vs a pair with a chromatic sheen to them. She notices you around the store, and rushes you with the two pair. ] Which one do you think looks better? In general, not on me.

Well, that was quick. Did someone get knocked off already?

Asking the clerks would likely net you a better result than an answer from me.

[ She giggles a little over-enthusiastically, inching closer with the two pair. Just. Give her an answer. Save yourself. ]

What are you looking at?
whoops sorry i disappeared! feel free 2 ignore if you want
Nothing in particular, really. I guess I just kind of spaced out, like some kind of ditz.
I'm just getting this really weird sense of deja vu, y'know? Like I've actually been in this place before.

What kind of leopard is pink?

To that end, he's sulking angrily about town, just kind of. Hoping something will jump out at him, maybe even something he can punch until he feels better? That would be pretty great. ]

Nobody else seems to notice it, nor do they stop to pick it up. It just keeps ringing.
Will you answer?]

She spies Booster, with that air to him and that...well, that look. She can recognize a skulker. ]
You looking for something in particular?
[ Sometimes, you leave skulkers alone. Other times, you make sure they aren't going to go break their own hand on something. ]

[ So... no. Not really. ]

[No. Fuck's sake, stop making it all about YOU again.]
[Anyway. There's not much to say about how his night went. He rummaged for a couple cheap changes of clothes at the store, took a long, cold shower, and fell asleep. Give or take a few details.]
[Now at the break of day, he's off at the laundromat washing the old outfit he arrived in. And well, at least he's wearing something different for once. In this case, a bowling shirt and some baggy jeans. He eyes the lone arcade cabinet from time to time, but never actually goes up to it.]
[He circles back to the motel, dropping off the clean clothes in his room, and coming out again to stop by each individual hallway door, kneeling down to slip something under them.... Even from a cursory glance, what he pushes through the gap of each door seems to vary a bit depending on each person. Sometimes, he starts to nod off before jolting back awake in a panicked frenzy, fumbling to reorient himself and keep at the task at hand.]
[After he's finished with that, he'll be heading back to his room to rest- its nameplate mysteriously back in pristine condition, still with the name "Mark" printed on it.]
no subject
Oh.]
Keeping occupied today...?

[In the meantime- well. Michalis's face to face with somebody who has a laundry list of people he doesn't want to show his face to right now, and unfortunately Michalis is one of them.]
I-I-I'm-! [He waves his hands in front of himself.] I'm not here to bother you- I-I've been dropping by everyone's doors, I'm not singling you out- [He stops rattling off explanations for himself. Bad habit. Needs to stop.]
...l-let me try again- [He pushes himself up to his feet, standing up straight and clutching his arms to keep his nervous tics suppressed.]
I'm not- I'm not asking forgiveness, for any of it, 'cause... [He takes a breath to let the harsh tensity in his voice to dissipate into something resembling a calmer speaking tone.] ...all that y'said, was right, and it's what we all needed to hear- but-
More than that, i-it's what you needed to say. You and Kim- Kimberly, both. Even if, even if nobody listened, you speaking the truth, saying your mind, that's. That's brave, that's, that's something worth doing. For its own sake. It's... thankless, to let yourself be... real.
[He stops the rambling there, letting that last bit hang in the air.]

O-oh- hey... don't pay me any mind, just... [He doesn't want to overexplain, but he can't exactly say nothing.] ...felt I should do something.
Xander, right, I... don't think we've talked much. [Outside of purely utilitarian conversations during the trial.] I'm... [He pauses for a bit, genuinely thinking on what to say.] My name's Mark. [He nods his head to gesture over at his own nameplate, the door 16 to Xander's door 15.] We're neighbors.

[The door opens a smidge so he can check who's there.]
[Then it's pulled back all the way, opened wide enough for Venkman to just walk in, if he wants.]
He-[yawn]-ey... figured y'might show up... [He scratches the back of his neck and lets his hand fall from the doorknob, blinking his eyes a couple times to keep himself awake.] ...wan- wanna talk?
